On behalf of the Efronix Foundation Board, we are proud to share the impact we achieved during the 2024–2025 financial year. Thanks to the continued support and personal contributions of the Ahmadian and Zolfi families and corporations, we were able to reach some of the most underserved communities in Iran with life-changing medical assistance, all without seeking or accepting public donations.

Our Focus This Year
Our work this year was based in Iran, guided by a simple principle: healthcare should be accessible, dignified, and free from unnecessary barriers. Every program we delivered reflected this belief.
-
83 people in 18 Iranian provinces regained sight and confidence through our cataract surgery program.
-
Young adults with sickle cell disease had consistent access to treatment, improving health and reducing social exclusion.
-
Dozens of patients from remote areas were supported with travel and accommodation costs to attend life-saving appointments in Tehran.

How We Funded This Work
This past year, every program, surgery, and supply of medication was made possible through the private generosity of the Ahmadian and Zolfi families and corporations. We didn’t raise funds from the public, nor did we receive any government grants. Instead, our impact came from a place of personal commitment and shared values.

We received a total of $284,922 AUD (official Iranian Rial rate conversion) in funding from the founding families. Of that, we spent $279,630 AUD directly on delivering care, from covering hospital costs to ensuring rural patients could safely reach Tehran for treatment. We finished the year with a modest surplus of around $5,000 AUD, which will go toward future patients in need and anticipated administration costs.
Because we have a completely voluntary board, nearly every dollar went straight to the people we serve.

A Volunteer-Driven Mission
Our work was carried out entirely by volunteers, from strategy and logistics to on-the-ground support, reflecting our deep commitment to serving without overhead or ego.
As we look ahead, we remain focused, hopeful, and grounded in our mission. This is just the beginning.

Cataract project: Mr. karimi's vision, restored

Known fondly as “Karbalayi” by friends, Mr. Karimi has spent his life working with his hands. Despite his age, he continued to earn his living with quiet pride, until cataracts stole his sight, and with it, his independence.

No longer able to work or move around safely, he felt isolated and defeated. “When your eyes go, it’s not just your vision. It’s everything,” he told our team.

The Efronix Foundation fully funded his cataract surgery, including transport, hospital care, and medication. Within days, his vision returned, and so did his confidence.

Karbalayi’s story is just one example of the impact we have been able to make.
